Kalloni House Northern Greece

The residence is located in the outset of the settlement of Kalloni, Grevena, surrounded of the mounts of Pindos. The rectangular volume as a main scheme of the traditional architecture of the region is absconded of the two sachnisi (architectural bay) to the west and the east side. This provides natural sun light and fresh air directly to the upper level to the bedroom. The living room with the double high merge the interior to the zero level. The shell combines different materials such as wood for the buildings cladding, doors and window panels, copper for the shadow panels, and plaster walls. The copper panels provides a level of transformation to the north facade as shadow panels , roof cover, secure, light adjuster.
